Mark Stanoch Is The Conservative Choice For District 1

Mark Stanoch is a retired business executive who is running for the Manatee County Commission District 1 seat. Stanoch founded start-up companies and also held executive positions with IBM Global Services and Dell Computers. This blend of small and large business experience would be beneficial to Manatee County as we face important financial challenges that will resonate from any property tax reductions.

Stanoch moved to Manatee county 18 years ago and has observed the problems that have followed our population boom. Stanoch advocates that reckless growth should be avoided but it is juvenile thinking to advocate for a moratorium on all growth. He believes in taking a multi-pronged approach that includes a focus on job growth in our county. 

Stanoch contends that attracting higher paying jobs to our county will help solve many traffic issues because so much of the traffic congestion is a result of Manatee residents having to travel outside of our county to find high paying jobs.

Stanoch also advocates for reducing the size of overlapping departments in our county government and our school board. As our local governments face the possibility of reduced income from property taxes, it is important that we elect women and men to our county commission that have business expertise which will allow them to reduce the size of our government while providing a more efficient use of taxpayer dollars.

Stanoch is a conservative Republican who has business expertise that can help our community solve many of our growth challenges. Our county budget is well over a billion dollars. Controlling our budget and limiting our taxes requires a business person like Mark Stanoch.
