The mainstream media is quick to challenge anything the Trump administration asserts. They set up teams of reporters to research any claim and they constantly attempt to refute any of Trump’s claims about government waste or fraud.
Conversely, they refuse to investigate anything that might cause harm to their pet causes. Bob Woodward has written books investigating Presidents and their administrations since the Nixon administration. Ironically, Woodward never investigated the “story of the century” about a President who was cognitively challenged and not up to the challenges of the Presidency. Woodward ignored the story because he did not want to help Trump.
Another example of the leftist press refusing to investigate causes they support was in the women’s boxing arena at the Paris Olympics.
A male boxer who had attempted to compete as a woman before the Olympics, had been banned by the International Boxing bodies. Questions had been raised about his obvious male characteristics and he had failed previous sexual identification tests.
The International Olympic Committee (IOC) decided to allow this man to compete in the women’s boxing category. The IOC declared that they would base their decision on what was on his passport. The IOC refused to “follow the science” and this man won an Olympic gold medal and several women boxers suffered severe beatings at his hands.
Recently, the man’s test results were leaked and they showed he had the testosterone levels of a man which should have prevented him from being allowed to compete as a woman. The male boxer has refused to dispute the leaked test results and no longer attempts to compete as a woman.
The mainstream media’s behavior during this news event was embarrassing. They refused to investigate the false claims of the boxer and explained their decision by asserting that they were accepting the determination of gay advocacy groups who claimed that the man was a woman.
This is not an indictment of one’s sexual or gender preference. Rather, it is an indictment of the media for refusing to investigate and expose the lack of scientific evidence to support this man competing as a woman.
The female boxers who had trained for years were denied medals because the media refused to investigate the matter. The female boxers should have convinced Trump to endorse the male boxer. That would have caused the mainstream media to investigate the matter with a vengeance.
Fortunately, today we have the alternative media which will investigate matters that the mainstream media refuses to research. We as Americans are the beneficiaries of the new media landscape. Never forget that as a news consumer, you must not accept anything as truth even if it is from your favorite media site.
