Recent behavior by Democrats continues to prove that Americans were smart to elect Donald Trump as President. California, and specifically, San Francisco, continue to bewilder Americans by adopting lunatic policies that lack common sense.

Recently, educators in San Francisco revealed a new policy of “Grading for Equity.” The main points of the new policy were: 1) home work is no longer used to determine final grades, 2) class attendance is no longer used to determine final grades and 3) students are now allowed to take final exams multiple times.

The grading curve that was proposed goes far beyond any truant student’s best fantasy. 80% and above will be considered an “A”. Students can receive a “B” by answering 40% of the questions correctly. Students can earn a “D” by answering 21% of the questions correctly.

This system was proposed by the Democrat education establishment. They obviously do not care about whether the students learn anything but rather, they care more about how the students feel.

This grading system also protects inept teachers by allowing them to claim that students are passing their classes. This will allow the teachers to demand higher pay.

The Democrats don’t care that this system allows many students to enter the workforce with no marketable skills and no guidelines for overcoming obstacles they will face in life. The Democrats will happily give them government jobs where they can do little work and receive a government check and a generous retirement benefit.

Over and over, successful business people will give credit to a teacher who pushed them to improve while demanding that they meet high standards. The Democrats refuse to push anyone and they are robbing many students of the ability to improve their life.

A perfect example of this is Kamala Harris who was given a Senate seat and the Vice President position without proving she could handle the job. She failed miserably and the public rejected her attempt to become President.

There will always be inequalities in life. The way to overcome inequality is to strive to do better and improve oneself. Lowering the bar does not help anyone in the long run.

May God continue to protect America from Democrat policies that harm the neediest of Americans.
