Jason Bearden Obtains Required Petition Signatures, Officially Qualifying For The Board Of County Commission At Large District 6 Position

MANATEE COUNTY, FL — On May 13, 2022, the Supervisor of Elections Office certified 2901 valid petitions for Jason Bearden to appear on the August 23, 2022 ballot. The required amount of petitions to qualify is 2724 – Jason ultimately went above and beyond this number with a final count of 3,638 signed petitions, a clear sign of Jason’s commitment and his volunteers’ support.

Bearden stated “Qualifying by petition to be on the ballot is very humbling – it reminds me that hard work pays off and that the people of Manatee County are willing to sacrifice to secure our liberties for future generations. This is a testament to the real change every day Americans want and to their conviction to Keep Florida Great and free. When I am sworn into office, I will serve the residents of Manatee County with distinction, honor and integrity.”

Jason is a Republican running for the Manatee County Commissioner At Large District 6 position in the Republican Primary. Remarkably, it’s been 8 years since a candidate running for this position has qualified to be on the ballot via signed petitions.

Now that businessman and Marine Iraqi Sniper combat veteran Jason Bearden has qualified for the ballot via petition, the Manatee County Commissioner race is shaping up to be one of the most contentious Republican primary races Manatee County has ever seen.
