Tales from the Mark Side: The Conservative Voice in Manatee County
Dear Ukraine: Can we trade presidents?
By Mark Young
Have you ever watched the show Wife Swap?
Me neither, but that’s beside the point.
I propose a new show called President Swap where we send Biden to Ukraine for a few weeks – if not forever – while Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky comes to America to be our president.
I wonder how long Biden would stay in a war zone and lead his people from the front. I’d give him about 28 seconds before he tucks tail and runs.
I’m being selfish of course. I think the Ukranians are suffering enough without having to endure Biden’s lack of leadership. Zelensky’s leadership, on the other hand, has been the kind of thing history will remember.
History will tell of his heroism, his leadership, his patriotism, his love for his people and how he has showcased the bravery and nobility of Ukraine and her citizens.
What will history tell of Biden?
He’s definitely making history, but for all the wrong reasons.
Biden’s history will be one of cowardice, disastrous policies, his lack of empathy for his own people, a lack of will to be the leader of the free world, being a laughing stock to the rest of the world, and quite frankly, a traitor as he bends the knee to oil-rich dictators when America is fully capable of being energy royalty on our own.
Countries that had become strong allies under President Donald Trump won’t even take Biden’s phone calls. Now Saudi Arabia is considering selling oil under the Chinese currency instead of the American dollar, which would effectively devastate our own economy even more so than what Biden is already doing.
And now far left progressives, who Biden has already surrendered to, are calling for a brand new 50% tax on oil companies. You think gas is expensive now? You think inflation is high now? We are all in a world of hurt if Biden and his anti-American minions are not stopped.
Remember when Biden narrowed his eyes, clenched his Irish teeth and told America he’s gone “toe to toe” with Putin and “Russia doesn’t want me to be president,” because Biden has been so tough on Putin?
When exactly did Biden go toe to toe with Putin, as he claims?
Well, let’s take a little look, shall we?
Under the Obama-Biden administration, they implemented a full “reset” policy with Russia because as we all remember during the Obama campaign, they said Russia is not a threat. In the meantime Obama is caught on a hot mic during his second campaign letting Russia know that he just has to get through his last election and would have more flexibility about pulling missiles out of NATO countries.
Today’s Biden administration is still saying that climate change is the world’s biggest threat as Russians murder Ukranians and threaten to use biological, chemical and nuclear weapons.
Traitor John Kerry even said his biggest concern is that the Russian invasion would distract the world from climate change as he flies all over the world in a show of utter hypocrisy that surpasses Al Gore’s, as far as his own personal carbon footprint.
Biden, as vice president, was in charge of European diplomacy and security. As Russia invaded Crimea, Biden did nothing about it except to send blankets to Ukraine, as his criminal family extorted Ukraine officials to get rich.
As Russia began sending military forces to the Ukrainian border, Biden, as president, delayed three scheduled shipments of lethal aid to Ukraine authorized under the Trump administration.
Not once, mind you, but three times Biden put a halt to that military aid. Biden explained he didn’t want to escalate the situation with Putin even as it became clear that Putin had every intention of invading.
Does any of that sound like going “toe to toe” with Putin?
Biden pretends to be a tough guy, but he’s far from it. He’s a coward. Remember, too, that Biden was the only one who was against killing Osama Bin Laden, for fear of making the terrorists angrier.
So Biden waited until days before the invasion to give Ukraine any kind of lethal aid when we should have been arming the Ukranians to the teeth. Biden instead, has been worrying about how Putin would react instead of making Putin worry about how America will react.
And he’s still doing it. He’s weak. He’s a coward. And again, while I hate resorting to name calling, Biden is an idiot. Sorry, not sorry.
I never thought I’d see the day when Americans would knowingly and willingly put a weaker president than Jimmy Carter back in power. And why? Because of a mean tweet?
They keep saying elections have consequences. Indeed they do.
It was becoming clear that Biden voters owed Americans an apology for their lack of common sense, but now those same voters owe the world an apology, particularly to the people of Ukraine.
This is a country who took America at its word that we would protect them when they gave up their nuclear weapons in the 1990s.
No, they aren’t a NATO country but we still have an obligation. We gave them our word. No, that doesn’t mean we need American boots on the ground or American fighter pilots in the sky.
But it does mean that we are required to do something and while Biden is finally doing very little after the fact, it’s not enough, and still just another epic Biden failure. His lack of foresight is alarming. His lack of common sense is scary in a world full of bad guys bent on American destruction.
We certainly don’t need to be making decisions to help that process along. And yet Biden is making those decisions that are killing the American economy and weakening us across the globe.
As I’ve said before, a strong America is what keeps the world order. A weak America unleashes global chaos. We’ve seen this movie before, which is why I don’t understand how anyone could have voted for Biden.
America first is a policy that keeps America strong and thus maintains the world order. It’s a shame so many Ukranians have had to die for some to finally understand that America first is good for America and good for the world.
And yet, there are still far too many who don’t understand that and continue to implement policies that weaken America. When are we going to finally call them what they are: enemies of the state.
It’s time to pick a side. As Bush told the world after the terrorist attacks, “You are either with us or against us.”
Ukraine has stood with America. Even though they are not a NATO country, Ukraine stepped up and insisted they would fight for America in our War on Terror.
It is time to show them that we are willing to fight with them against Russian terrorism in whatever capacity we are capable of doing.
I don’t want to hear from the White House about how much money they are throwing at the problem. I want Ukraine to have everything they need to bleed this Russian army dry.
Give it to them. Biden’s delays have cost innocent lives. His indecisions make us weaker and his actual decisions are weakening us even more. His shift-the-blame talking points are a joke, and so is this administration.
