Mandates, masks, vaccines and the hypocrisy of COVID

If you’re getting to know me at all, you probably realize there is no subject too taboo that I won’t gladly tackle, but I was hesitant about dipping into the vaccine debate.

Not because I don’t have an opinion on it – shocking, I know – but because I believe it’s nobody’s business what we all decide to do when it comes to the vaccine.

For the record, I really don’t want to know if you are rubbing cream on a potential STD either. There are just some things that don’t need to be announced and are you own business.

That certainly includes this disaster of a Biden administration, which promised just a few months ago that they would never consider making vaccines mandatory.

They lied to us yet again, but that’s not surprising.

But I can’t take this subject on without being honest in saying that I decided to get the vaccine last year when the Veterans Administration began to offer it just before Manatee County launched vaccine sites.

I debated it internally for weeks and decided to do it based on a number of things. I’m not as young as I used to be and the long pandemic left me nowhere near being in the kind of shape that I consider to be satisfactory.

For me, it wasn’t that big of a decision because as any veteran can tell you, one of the first things you are required to do is strip down to your brand new OD green boxer shorts and walk a gauntlet of a medical staff shooting God knows how many vaccines into your system.

I never even knew what those were, so I figured I was a little ahead of the game in at least knowing what I decided to take this time.

My only concern about getting the shot was the one time in 25 plus years I took the flu shot. It was the one time in that same time period I got the flu. So yeah, I was concerned that getting a shot for COVID would give me, at the very least, symptoms of COVID.

But I made that choice on my own and I certainly don’t ever need the government, especially this administration, dictating what I will or won’t do.

I can tell you that I won’t do the booster shot. For me, it just wasn’t part of the deal. Needing a third shot, and now they are talking about a possible fourth, isn’t what we were told was going to happen.

And therein lies the problem and why I understand the distrust a lot of people have in being forced to have a vaccine they don’t want or shouldn’t get for any number of personal reasons. There has been a string of misinformation coming from people like Fauci who, as we all have learned, has no idea what he’s doing.

Trump figured him out pretty early on, which is why Fauci took a backseat in the final months of Trump’s administration.

Fauci was against masks, for masks, for double masks, against masks if vaccinated, for masks if vaccinated and recently tried to ruin Christmas by publicly saying he didn’t know if it was a good idea for family and friends to get together for the holidays yet.

And as usual, the liberals celebrate this clown even though he has done nothing substantial whatsoever. He has changed views multiple times, and now we find out he lied about American tax dollars funding the Chinese weaponizing the coronaviruses in their stock.

One of which, by the way, is said to have a 15% fatality rate and another one that has a 50% fatality rate. If you look at how this society almost folded over a virus that has less than a 1% fatality rate, can you even imagine how quickly everything you know to be your reality would end if either one of those other viruses were “accidentally” leaked by the Chinese.

Trust in Fauci should have ended when Trump figured him out as a fraud, but especially when he threw out the first pitch at a Nationals game. I know 6-year-old girls who throw better than he does.

Fauci is a fraud and that fact is no longer up for debate after being caught in yet another lie. So I don’t blame anyone for their lack of trust in CDC guidelines, which have changed more times than the mind of a wife or girlfriend when you ask them where they want to go for dinner.

The catastrophe of what this administration is doing with their vaccine mandates is playing out across the country as we begin to lose valued first responders, nurses and so many other essential workers who are being fired for exercising their freedom to choose.

The nastiness from the so-called vaccinated toward the unvaccinated is completely one-sided on the liberal front. You’ll hear conservatives say maybe it’s a good idea that you do get vaccinated, but it’s only the liberals who are taking it to the level of personal attacks.

Very typical and predictable of them.

So yes, I did get the vaccine and that was my choice to roll the dice in doing so. And no, I won’t make a recommendation either way because it’s none of my business what you choose to do.

It’s your choice. You are Americans and have that right. I simply can’t blame anyone who is against being vaccinated given how Biden’s administration has handled everything in a totalitarian manner.

This isn’t 1930s Nazi Germany. I almost wish I hadn’t received the vaccine just so I could tell this “president” where to stick his mandates.

Bottom line is I support you if you get the vaccine or choose not to. I’m a reasonable, logical person who believes in personal choice.

We see the hypocrisy of it all.

We see Biden walk out for a public appearance wearing a mask, but walks off without one, coughing in his hand and shaking people’s hands.

We saw Nancy Pelosi going maskless into a California salon closed by the pandemic. We’ve heard the hot mic responses from Democrats about to give a press conference saying, “I’ll put my mask on when the cameras are on to give them a show.”

We saw the Republican vs. Democrat baseball game where hardly anyone was wearing masks, and yet Pelosi has mandated Congress must wear one in the chamber. We saw too, Pelosi wasn’t wearing a mask at that game and neither was Biden when he walked up and kissed her on the cheek.

He probably took a quick sniff of her hair, too, the freak.

We’ve seen a plethora of hypocrisy from liberal leadership in multiple states where the business-crushing rules they put in place don’t apply to them.

In short, we’ve seen quite enough. We’ve seen the hypocrisy, we’ve seen the lies and we’ve seen the incompetence that bleeds from this administration.

So I can’t, at the moment, tell liberals where to stick their harassment of those who decline the vaccine, but I can, and always will tell the left where to stick their liberal logic.
