Nowhere was this more apparent than at a recent press conference where she struggled incredibly to answer a Newsmax reporter who laid out all her failures at her feet.

The most laughable part of all of this is that Lightfoot is actually trying to claim that crime is “going down” in Chicago.
But recent stats show that that’s far from the truth…
The number of shootings in Chicago in the month of March — and the number of shooting victims — are at their highest in four years, according to data from the Chicago Police Department.
The Chicago Police’s Monthly Crime Newsletter on city shootings and crime statistics reported an increase in both the number of shootings and the number of shooting victims in March compared to the same month in the previous three years.
For 2021, there were 233 shooting incidents and 298 shooting victims, police data show. In March of 2020, there were 146 shootings and 175 victims; in March 2019 there were 136 shooting incidents and 165 victims; and in 2018 there were also 136 shootings, with 151 victims.
Meanwhile, homicides in Chicago are up 33% in the first three months of the year compared to 2020, while shootings are up nearly 40% for the same period year-over-year.
Seriously, who is Lori trying to fool?
Doesn’t she realize that these stats are actually being tracked and that the general public has access to it?
