According to the description, the book “will feature a collection of personal essays on childhood, motherhood, marriage, her career and the intersection of all the above — putting her thoughtfulness, assertiveness and deep understanding of the dynamics of gender and power on full display.”
Kelly will tell readers what “really makes her tick” and discuss topics like marriage, motherhood and her career in the entertainment industry.
The essays also promise to get into how the talk show host met her husband Mark Counsuelos and the chauvinism she experienced on the set of their TV show, All My Children.
“Surprising, at times savage, a little shameless and always with humor, Live Wire shows Kelly as she really is offscreen — a very wise woman who has something to say,” the description teases.
The book is available for pre-order now at IndieBound.com.
Kelly revealed that she’s interested in shifting her career to behind-the-camera in an interview last month, telling host Bethenny Frankel she still finds it “painful” to be on-screen.
