Trump And Hegseth Are Strengthening Our Military

During the Obama and Biden administrations, the Department of Defense took its focus off winning wars and pivoted to pursuing social goals. Diversity quotas and climate and gender initiatives became top priorities. The Armed Forces began promoting people based on their support for those leftist agendas. 

As a result of the pussification of the Armed Forces, enrollment numbers dropped as potential soldiers were reluctant to join an organization where advancement was contingent upon one’s support for leftist causes. 

With Trump’s re-election, circumstances have changed. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has made it clear that fighting strength is important as opposed to concerns about diverse gender acceptance.

Hegseth eliminated DEI programs, banned transgender service and brought back merit-based admissions at the service academies. 

Hegseth has been adamant about bringing back the “warrior ethos” which focuses on being ready for combat not a drag queen show. Americans watched in dismay over the past few years as our Armed Forces became famous for “breaking the barriers” on social issues. 

Years ago, Americans understood when the Armed Forces began bringing blacks and Hispanics into service. People understood that strength and bravery and combat skills had nothing to do with one’s skin color.

Conversely, Americans could not accept the Armed Forces focusing on bringing in citizens who wanted transgender surgery paid for by American taxpayers. Americans intuitively understood that a person focused on changing genders is not a person ready for combat. 

Hegseth also began moving billions of dollars out of climate initiatives into programs focused on combat readiness. Of course, the Democrats have pitched temper tantrums because of these changes. 

Democrats view the Armed Services as an area they can use to promote their social agendas. Trump and Hegseth have ended this ill-conceived agenda. Their focus on combat readiness is welcomed by a majority of the troops and by a majority of the taxpayers.
