The bureaucrats are beginning to realize they have no stomach for a fight with Trump. Their supporters in the press have failed to convince Americans to oppose Trump’s crusade to uncover the waste and fraud in our federal government.

Federal workers, for years, have gained power by outlasting any attempts to rein in the growth of the federal government. Most politicians in both parties have been petrified to take the backlash that follows attempts to cut back the growth of government.

Trump is fortunate that his crusade comes at a time when most Americans have stopped following and believing the mainstream media. Americans have realized that the press is overwhelmingly leftist and unsympathetic to the problems of normal working Americans. Last Sunday, a leader of the mainstream media attempted to argue that the Nazi’s gained power because of free speech. Only a person detached from reality could believe that there was free speech in Nazi Germany.

Sadly, our universities have taught our gullible young people that conservative opinions are evil and should be kept from the public arena. College bureaucrats have joined university students in shouting down anyone attempting to share conservative opinions. College officials created “safe spaces” for leftists to gather when they heard a conservative argument.

The result of colleges banning conservative thoughts was an Orwellian culture that prevented students from thinking for themselves. These students eventually graduated and entered the federal government bureaucracy and began to enforce leftist rules and regulations. These rules and regulations became so entrenched that it is impossible to revoke them with nice words and gentle discussions.

It took a relentless person like Trump to absorb the body blows of the leftists and then calmly start the process of dismantling the power base of the federal bureaucracy.

This is a turning point for America. We can accept a smaller bureaucracy which will allow us to stop the growth of our national debt. Falling for the emotional pleas of the bureaucrats, Democrats and the mainstream media will allow our debt to continue growing. This would be the equivalent of allowing your child to continue their drug abuse because you did not want them to dislike you.

If we stand firm, we can save our country for the next generations.
