The hits just keep coming from the Bradenton Times, the online paper that seems to be the vehicle for Joe McClash to lash out at Trump, DeSantis and Republicans. The Times just endorsed a candidate for County Commission who has been arrested multiple times after accusations of abuse of multiple women and violations of injunctions that prohibited him from approaching women that he had been accused of harming.
The endorsement of Gibellina by McClash’s paper shows that he cares only about one thing: development. If you have a sordid past with regards to women, the Times does not care as long as you say you hate development.
This is the same game plan that the Marxist Democrats are using in Maine where the Democrats have nominated a Democrat who has an ugly past with regard to women and who also sports a Nazi tattoo. The Democrats don’t care because he hates Trump.
Our county has a $2.67 billion budget for next year. We have questions about county spending levels. We need the expertise of a commissioner with business experience and common sense.
For McClash’s paper to endorse a candidate with a sordid criminal past with regard to women and a questionable financial history makes a mockery of all the charges that McClash’s paper has made against Republican politicians and developers.
Our society has witnessed far too many incidents of men abusing women. This is not a value that we should teach to the children of our county.
Gibellina may have arguments against development and the wasting of county funds on animal shelters. His behaviour towards women, however, should disqualify him from elective office.
The fact that Joe McClash’s paper will endorse a person with such overwhelming issues regarding women reveals how far the paper will go to stop Republicans. The public should look with a jaundiced eye towards all of McClash’s endorsements.
