Boat sex at Passage Key leads to triple arrests

Two women and a man were arrested Sept. 5 on charges of lewd and lascivious behaivor after having public sex in view of minors, according to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies say the trio were observed just before 5 p.m. on the boat at Passage Key National Wildlife Refuge. Juvenile witnesses passing by on another boat reported that the two women were engaged in sexual activity at the front of the boat for about 15 minutes before the male joined in.

Arrested were 40-year-old Jenniver Covello, 37-year-old Jennifer Hagan and 43-year-old Jason Hagan.

All three were booked into the Manatee County jail and released the following day after posting a $7,500 bond each.



His arrest for sexually assaulting a young boy wasn’t his first

Brandon Edwards, 35, admitted to the Bradenton Police Department that he had been arrested before for similar sexual assaults, but that the charges had always been dropped.

In this case, Edwards was arrested Sept. 2 for sexually assaulting a 14-year-old boy.

According to the arrest report, the victim was asleep when Edwards entered the room and raped him.

The victim reported the sexual assault to an authority figure. Edwards was interviewed and subsequently arrested on the charge.

Edwards was booked into the Manatee County jail where he remains in custody without bond. 



He brought a 4-year-old to a burglary

A 27-year-old Bradenton man was arrested on burglary and child neglect charges after taking a 4-year-old child with him to burglarize an apartment located at 6620 Anchor Loop.

Deputies say Justin Savinon walked into the victim’s apartment on the evening of Sept. 1 while she was out walking her dog.

The victim had a motion sensor camera on the dog’s feeder that activated, so the victim returned home to find Savinon standing in her apartment holding the child.

Deputies responded to the burglary in progress call and made contact with Savinon while he was still there. According to the report, Savinon said he entered the apartment to seek help for himself because he could not breathe.

He told deputies he didn’t go into anybody’s bedroom before even being asked. Deputies noted all of the dresser drawers in the victim’s bedroom had been opened.

Savinon was booked into the Manatee County jail and was released on Sept. 3 after posting bonds totaling $9,000.



He was hiding a 12-year-old runaway, and having sex with her

A 19-year-old Bradenton man was arrested Sept. 1 on charges of lewd and lascivious battery and aiding and abetting a runaway juvenile, according to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies say Ryan Polyakovics, aka Tego Martinez, intentionally hid the runaway during multiple attempts to locate the juvenile female across various jurisdictions.

During the course of the investigation, deputies learned that Polyakovics and the 12-year-old had consenual sex on multiple occasions.

Polyakovics was booked into the Manatee County jail where he remains in custody on bonds totaling $90,000.
