The democrats are coming! The democrats are coming! … to Manatee County?

I admit it’s been years since I’ve watched a beauty pageant, but I grew up watching them because my dad sure did like to watch them.

Granted, we only had three channels back then, so I don’t know if it was just a lack of options or what, but I’ll lean toward the fact that my dad was a bit on the sexist side.

But I do remember how these contestants would get to the interview portion of the pageant and how so many of them every year would be asked, “What will you do if crowned Miss,” whichever contest was on at the time.

There was always at least one that would respond with, “I want to create world peace.”

Even as a 10-year-old, I’d turn to my dad and say, “Yeah, and I want Barbara Eden to be my personal geni.”

That one always seemed to generate that rare, “That’s my boy,” smile from my father.

I mean what healthy, young, growing boy wasn’t in love with Eden during I Dream of Jeannie? And even at that “younger” age, we could imagine the possibilities right? And we also always rooted for Maj. Healey to get control of Jeannie because he had the right idea.

Anyway, I digress.

My point is that there are just some statements that are dumb. Saying you will create world peace when there has been a grand total of about 90 days throughout human history where there has been no war, is a dumb statement.

Me, as a pre-teen boy, saying I would one day live out every Penthouse letter I’ve ever read from my dad’s stash, is a dumb statement to make.

Now the local democratic parties spanning Manatee and Sarasota counties say they believe they can turn this area blue. That is a dumb statement to make, as well.

A recent recruitment posting by the democrats is hiring people for $18 an hour to knock on doors, walk through neighborhoods and register people to vote democrat.

Oh please oh please, come to my house. I would so enjoy having that conversation. They won’t though. They’ll focus on the nursing homes and cemeteries as usual.

The qualifications on the posting announce that this is an entry-level position. Really? Walking and talking sounds like advanced work for democrats to me.

Still, not bad money for a job that is, “No experience with canvassing for political work is necessary.”

I love the qualifications category of this posting, however. One of the qualifications is strong communication skills. I’m assuming that means an applicant must be a good liar.

Another is strong management skills. Do they mean like Biden? Harris? Do tell.

In the full job description, our democrats go on to write, “Do you want to make a positive change here in Florida to help our neighbors?”

Well, let’s just back up the dumb statement truck for a moment here. What does a democrat consider to be positive change?

Is it the current economy democrats are responsible for creating? Is it foreign policy disasters? Is it the southern border crisis? Is it having a crackhead, corrupt son who slept with his dead brother’s wife proclaiming that his father thinks he is a God kind of positive change?

But here comes the really dumb statements. Democrats write, “Take action now to help us elect democrats to office and help turn southwest Florida blue by joining our newly launched initiative to invest in ‘aggressive’ voter registration programs in red counties.”

This new group is called Florida! Build Local Power and they are seeking “voter registration specialists.”

I thought this was an entry level position that requires no experience? But you want to call them specialists? Do they get trophies for participating, too?

Anyway, the democrats are seeking these “specialists” in order to, “help establish long-term infrastructure,” in our area.

So, the local democratic parties believe they can turn Manatee and Sarasota counties blue.

Let’s put aside the fact for a moment that a massive red wave is going to flood the entire nation in a few months and let’s pretend to give this latest democratic delusion a little credence. Just for fun, mind you.

I never like to quote a Canadian – unless it’s John Candy or something – but I’ll give credit to Canadian writer Margaret Atwood who once said, “Stupidity is the same as evil if you judge by the results.”

Now Atwood was talking about herself when she said that, but I happily transfer those wise words to this latest democrat waste of time and money.

If you think about what Atwood said, it really defines democrats, so I’ll say it one more time to drive the point home. “Stupidity is the same as evil if you judge by the results.”

Democratic policies are both evil and stupid when you judge them by the results. Their efforts in Manatee County will certainly end in failure.

But at least they gave me a moment to remember my dad when they said they actually believe they can turn Manatee County blue. And in that moment, I did indeed raise my head skyward to say, “Yeah, and I want Barbara Eden to be my personal geni.”

Democrats are up to no good, my fellow Patriots. The amount of money they spend to try and steal power could easily pay for all of their social spending if they really wanted to take that route.

And now we also hear that our local democrat party is asking their democrats to register for the local primaries as a Republican in an attempt to influence our local elections.

Of course, they don’t realize that by doing so, they are giving up their vote to choose their chosen democrat in the state election primaries.

It’s like sacrificing a chicken at the altar in hopes of getting an egg.

Makes no sense to me, but then again, nothing they do ever does.

But this is more evidence that now more than ever is the time to stay vigilant, stay aware and stay informed.
