MANATEE COUNTY, FL (May 16, 2020) – Manatee County residents will have an opportunity to get expert advice on keeping themselves, their families and their property protected at Manatee County’s Hurricane Preparedness Expo, tomorrow — Tuesday, May 17, 2022, from 4-7 p.m. at the Bradenton Area Convention Center, 1 Haben Blvd, Palmetto.
Manatee County Emergency Management officials are organizing the event – which will feature more than 40 vendors – as well as an opportunity to see life-saving rescue equipment and vehicles before they are pressed into emergency service.
“We’re hoping to better prepare and educate Manatee County residents on the things they need to do to get ready for Hurricane Season,” said Emergency Management Chief Steve Litschauer. “Everything from the importance of learning your evacuation level to knowing the strength of your home to deciding what you’ll need in your hurricane kit.”
Again – the event is free – and open to the public, May 17, 2022, from 4-7 p.m.
