Cuomo Resigns As NY Governor: Doesn’t Want To Be A “Distraction”

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo resigned on Tuesday after the state Attorney General announced the results of an investigation into allegations that he sexually harassed members of his staff. Lt. Gov. Kathy Hochul will replace Cuomo as Governor of New York effective in two weeks.

“Government operations are a matter of life and death,” he said. “And wasting energy on distractions is the last thing the state government should be doing. And I can not be the cause of that.”
