The Eagles made a couple more roster moves on Wednesday morning before practice, activating safety Andrew Adams off the reserve/COVID-19 list, and waiving defensive back Nate Meadors in a corresponding move.
Adams will join a young safety room that is still waiting for the return of Rodney McLeod. The safety is heading into his sixth season, following the past three years with the Buccaneers and his first two seasons with the Giants. He played in all 16 games with Tampa Bay last year, so if he’s healthy, he could be someone who ends up contributing in Philly this season.
Meadors spent the past two seasons with the Vikings, but never really got his footing and was only active for one game in 2019 and two games in 2020. The cornerback room is already filled with a lot of young guys, led by veterans Darius Slay and Steven Nelson, but some of the rookies are already starting to show some signs of being able to contribute early.
