A Florida woman is being sought by deputies after stealing $294 worth of merchandise from Walmart using Dollar General bags and escaping to her car on a scooter.
According to investigators, the woman in the photo stole $294 worth of merchandise from the Walmart on SW Highway 200 in Ocala, Florida.
Deputies say she filled her Dollar General grocery bags with several items to include craft jewelry, kits for soap making, cold medicine, and fireworks.
She then exited the store with these items, passing all points of sale, when she is stopped by a member of the asset protection team.
When asked for her receipt she claimed she was never given one. The suspect was asked to return to a register at which point she advised she would after retrieving an item from her vehicle.
The suspect exited the store and left in a white vehicle.
The question that I have is why the store asset protection worker didn’t just follow her out to her vehicle. Those little scooters aren’t exactly fast.
