Black Widow broke the record for the largest domestic box office opening since the pandemic began, and now holds the largest domestic opening weekend since Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker in December of 2019.
The combined theatrical and Disney+ Premier Access opening also makes Black Widow the only film to surpass $100 million domestically on opening weekend since the pandemic began.
As for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it’s the highest domestic opening weekend for a MCU origin story after Black Panther and Captain Marvel.
The director also confirmed that Marvel considered a cameo from another MCU hero in the movie!
