During the “Hot Topics” segment, Wendy displayed a photo of the late teen, and then began speaking about him having more followers than her on social media.
“I have no idea who this is. Neither does Norman. Neither does one person in this building,” she said, asking those in the audience to clap if they knew him.
“Here he is. He’s 19 and he was murdered Monday morning.”
The segment went viral on social media, with many calling out Wendy for her insensitive way of discussing the topic at hand.
Wendy also got called out for her commentary regarding a marriage recently.
