Regina King Feels Like A Completely Different Person Now Compared To Who She Was At 25

Regina King looks more beautiful with every passing year, and on January 15, she’s going to turn 50 years old. She can’t wait to be another year older, too.

“I feel like I’m so much more interesting now, as a soon-to-be 50-year-old woman, than I was at 25,” she told British Vogue in a recent interview. “I can bring so much more to the table. I think that’s the same for all people.”

King plans on celebrating her birthday by releasing her new movie, One Night in Miami — which she directed — on Amazon Prime. And as she gets older, King plans to continue having a successful career like Academy-Award winner Helen Mirren.

“I think Helen Mirren is everyone’s hero,” she said. “She’s the person who’s made it her career and the stories that she’s involved with and that she’s been a part of telling.”

With only one week until her birthday, King is cherishing all of the blessings that have come her way.

“You may not have the stamina that you had at 25, but what you know now? So much better,” she said.
