ObamaCare Is Full Of Fraud And Waste

ObamaCare is championed by the Democrats for giving insurance to the needy. It is, however, a typical Democrat spending plan that is plagued by fraud and inefficiencies and it continues to waste huge amounts of taxpayer dollars.

A recent study by the Paragon Institute uncovered that taxpayers are subsidizing insurance for 12 million people who never use their coverage. 

In typical Democrat fashion, ObamaCare increased subsidies for people purchasing insurance on the ObamaCare exchanges. As a result the enrollment doubled while the taxpayer’s cost rose by 150%. Government spending on ObamaCare has risen faster than the cost of Medicare and Medicaid. Of course, the intellectually challenged Democrats think that more government spending is a triumph even if it is full of fraud.

Last year, one-third of all ObamaCare enrollees generated no claims even though many of the plans are fully subsidized. This makes no sense until you understand the grift that is taking place. 

When the Democrats established ObamaCare with full subsidies, they made it easy to obtain the insurance even if you did not qualify. The Democrats then went further into “crazy” territory by making it harder to verify if a person actually qualifies for the taxpayer subsidy for Obamacare. It reminds one of the ballot stuffing that takes place in states run by Democrats.

The other beneficiaries of this fraud are the insurers and middlemen who obtain government payments for people who get signed up for Obamacare even though they are in other private or government plans. These payments for ObamaCare are often going to providers, pharmacies and middlemen who are often owned by the insurance companies.

The Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services found that  1.6 million Americans were enrolled in both ObamaCare and Medicaid, according to the Wall Street Journal. Obviously, the government should not be subsidizing a person to obtain ObamaCare if they are already enrolled in Medicaid. This is just more evidence of the mismanagement of these programs.

Of course, when the Trump Administration attempts to clean up this mess, the Democrats yell that needy Americans are being robbed of medical care. 

The Trump Administration’s motto is: “Stop sending money to the wrong places, so you can defend sending money to the right places.”

ObamaCare is just one more example of how the Democrats waste taxpayer money while turning a blind eye to those ripping off the taxpayers. When public interest groups point out the fraud and abuse, the Democrats and the mainstream media attempt to “shoot the messenger.”
