The New York Times and the Democrats are worried that the Trump Administration may break a law when they go after the drug cartels in Mexico. This encapsulates the Democrat Party. The Democrats believe the Mexican drug cartels must be protected from a “rogue Trump Administration.”
Pause a minute to think about all the families that have been robbed of their loved ones by fentanyl and other drugs shipped into our country from Mexico. This plague has ravished our country and taken precious young people before they could blossom into adulthood.
Nevermind, say the Democrats. If Trump proposes something, they must be against it. Republicans should get on their knees and thank God for the Democrat leadership.
Sadly, the drug cartels have been able to gain de facto control over the legal and political process in Mexico. They have corrupted so many politicians and judges along with military and police officials. One can sympathize with the Mexican officials who understand that any action they take against the drug cartels can lead to their assassination or the killing of their family members.
Many Mexicans are secretly happy that Trump is willing to take on the drug cartels. If Trump is successful in this quest, the Mexican economy would “take off” as more investors would be willing to invest in this historically great nation.
The Democrats are willing to sit on their hands and watch the Mexican economy falter as the drug lords sap the life blood from this once great nation. Trump, on the other hand, is willing to take on the challenge of taking the power from the drug cartels and saving the lives of Mexicans and Americans.
Trump’s actions are the definition of leadership.
