Democrats Lie About The Big Beautiful Budget Bill

Our local newspapers, traditional and on-line, are spouting the Democrat talking points regarding the budget bill that was passed last week. They predict that millions of people will be cut from Medicaid which will result in a national tragedy. 

Most Americans do not realize that Medicaid has grown by 60% in the last 6 years. This is an astounding growth rate that cannot be continued without dire economic consequences. The Republican budget bill does not cut Medicaid spending, it merely slows down future increases. 

One of the reasons that Medicaid has grown so quickly during the past few years is the Obama administration decided to give more non-working able-bodied adults access to Medicaid. As we have discussed before, when Democrats expand spending programs, they always underestimate the true cost of the expansion. 

Imagine if you decided to add another bedroom to your house. You hire a contractor who determines the cost will be $80,000. After the contractor finishes the project, he presents you with a bill for $250,000. This is how Democrats do budgeting estimates. 

In the new budget bill, Republicans insisted that there be a work requirement for able-bodied Medicaid recipients. Obviously, this does not apply to those who are disabled, pregnant or caring for children younger than 14. You can also obtain an exemption if you are in school. 

The Congressional Budget Office announced that 4.8 million people would not meet the work requirement of the new bill. That says a lot about what has happened with our welfare system. Able-bodied Americans do not work and yet they receive Medicaid benefits. 

Imagine if half of these Americans got a job. It would add many benefits to our economy. Having a job would also help the worker improve their life. The Democrats cannot understand this concept and you wonder why many of our cities are such economic messes.

Another benefit of the new bill is that it will shut down some of the scams that are helping individuals obtain Medicaid when they do not qualify. It has been estimated that 6.4 million people receive FULLY subsidized Obamacare insurance even though they do not qualify. Next time you look at your paycheck deduction for medical insurance, think about the people who are illegally obtaining Obamacare for free. 

Democrats continue to fight every attempt to control government spending. These same Democrats have ruined cities and states across our country. 

Americans are smart enough to realize that Trump is attempting to rein in our government. He closed the border despite Democrat objections. He stopped much  of the tax dollars being given by Democrats to Democrat entities that use the money to give payout to Democrat operatives under the guise of international aid. 

Trump has sent a message to the world that you do not want to come here illegally because you will end up in an unpleasant holding area. By sending this message, he is saving the lives of many people who would have been killed or raped or worse on the way to our country. 

Trump has transformed our Armed Forces by focusing on warfare not social issues. 

We will always have the post-menopausal women protesting everything his administration attempts to do to improve our country. Fortunately, most Americans understand that it was time for a change of direction. Now we can fondly look at photos of Biden sleeping at the beach and not worry about who is running our country.
