The Manatee Herald endorses Jon Lynch for Manatee County School Board District 3 seat. Lynch is a native of Bradenton and a Manatee High graduate. Lynch has spent the last 24 years building his career in the marine industry.
Lynch utilized the On The Job Training program at Manatee High and is a prime example for today’s students of how effective and successful you can be when you focus on becoming the best in your trade.
Jon specialized in marine diesel and ac/dc generator systems and later turned his focus on building his own business. Jon is now the proud owner of Cortez Cove Marina. They specialize in top tier yacht repair and finishing. Jon understands the importance of helping young students get ready for a good career by helping them in job training.
Jon has two daughters in the public school system. He believes his experience in our school system and his conservative common sense business experience is needed on our school board. Jon believes we should protect parental rights from overzealous bureaucrats of which there are many in Manatee County. He is going to stop some of the indoctrination that is taking place in our local schools. He also believes in giving teachers the raises they deserve.
His opponent, Charlie Kennedy is a leftist Democrat that switched his registration to Republican after years of mocking President Trump and Governor DeSantis. Kennedy has been one of the most toxic school board members and should not be representing our county. Of course, Kennedy is endorsed by the Democrats and RINO Republicans who want the bureaucrats to run our schools.
Manatee County needs the leadership that Jon Lynch would bring to our county.
