In today’s political climate there is an inability to recognize problems and find a solution if the proposed solution upsets a subset of one party’s political coalition. This has played out in the reaction to the increase in killings initiated by people who are transitioning their sexual identity.
Recently, we have seen an increase in killings by transgender individuals. Some crime researchers have discovered that trans-identifying individuals are responsible for active shootings at a rate that is 12 times their share of the population.
The mainstream media and the university research centers refuse to discuss the issue because they do not want to give credence to any issue that has been raised by the political right.
For years, the transgender community has been championed by the mainstream media as victims who must be protected from a public that is provincial and unwise to the sophistication of today’s gender fluid society.
The end result is that no major research is directed towards determining if drugs and surgery are actually helping the individuals going through the gender transition process.
We could be witnessing violent acts by people who have had major surgery that irreversibly changes their body. In many instances the surgery does not solve the underlying issue. These patients are having major surgery that irreversibly changes their body and then they are realizing that all the pain and medical suffering they have endured has not resulted in allowing them to appear to be a member of the opposite sex. This is leaving many people frustrated and angry.
Dealing with the pain many transitioners are left with and the multiple surgeries that often follow the initial surgery could leave people feeling angry and such frustrations could lead to violent attacks.

This issue should be researched to determine if the surgeries and drugs being used are causing the violent outbursts that take the lives of innocent people. Uncertainty about one’s gender is a real issue for some people. Research needs to be initiated to determine if life-altering surgery is the best prescription for individuals dealing with these questions.
