The Democrats and Hollywood actors have been screaming about the need to resist ICE and federal law enforcement officers. In Minneapolis we have seen the effects of the actions of a leftist minority who believes that federal laws do not need to be obeyed. Several decades ago, in the 1960’s, there were similar beliefs in the south that federal laws about civil rights could be ignored.

Most Americans believe in the rule of law and understand that if there is a law or rule you dislike, you have the right to work to change the law or rule. You can peacefully protest and you can urge your congressional representative to change the law.

As an example, if you do not believe that abortion is morally right, you can protest against abortion but you cannot block the driveway of an abortion clinic in an attempt to keep someone from entering the clinic.

In our history, we have always had a few radicals that believe you have the right to physically harm or kill your political opponents. Fortunately, that has never been accepted as normal behavior in our country.

Lately, we have seen a surge  in leftists who endorse harming or killing those with whom they disagree. Donald Trump was giving a speech last summer when he was shot by someone who was opposed to his policies. Charlie Kirk was giving a talk on a college campus when a leftist assassinated him because he disagreed with his policies. These assassins and would-be assassins were riled up by those who spread hatred toward conservatives.

Leftists Walz and Frey, Minnesota’s finest, used the same tactics  that the KKK used in the south to arouse people to use violence against federal law enforcement officers.

Fortunately, most of the country is not following the lead of the leftists in Minnesota. Most states are allowing ICE to do their job and take people into custody.

It is easy to get lost in an echo chamber of radical beliefs. Before long you can find yourself losing common sense and doing things that most 5th graders would understand can lead to a bad outcome. (Being violent  toward law enforcement officers while you are armed)

Sadly, some public school teachers are forcing some young children to carry signs in opposition to ICE. This occurs too often in leftist controlled states.

Let us hope the rhetoric is toned down and people remember that disagreeing with others does not give one the right to harm that person. Disagreeing with laws does not give you the right to interfere with law enforcement.

Fortunately, most of America understands the need for an orderly society.
