The national media and the Democrats are having a meltdown over Secretary of War Pete Hegseth’s speech to senior military officials. During the Obama and Biden Administrations, the Armed Forces began a focus on DEI. Being promoted in the military was no longer about military effectiveness or fitness.
Generals and other officers were told to make global warming a priority. Promotions came faster if you showed your willingness to help push the DEI agenda in your area of service. Generals spent hours in meetings about bigotry and sexual harassment.
US citizens who were confused about their sexual identity knew they could join the military and immediately ask for a sex change operation and the taxpayers would pay the bill.
Fitness standards were lowered to allow women to qualify for various combat roles. Attorneys were given final authority over military operations. “Toxic masculinity” was considered a bad quality that could hurt your career. It was as if the “defund the police Democrats” were put in charge of the military. Yes, the Democrats were in charge.
A funny thing happened on the way to kumbaya. The young men who were needed to make the Armed Forces a strong fighting force, realized they were not wanted by those in charge of the military.
Throughout history, the great armies of the world were not focused on social issues. Governments realized that warrior soldiers were needed in times of conflict.
It was always obvious that the warrior mentality could cause issues during times of peace but it was understood that such peacetime problems were the necessary price for having a fighting force that could win wars to protect the world from evil.
When the “you know what” hits the fan, the world depends upon US warriors to restore order. They are not looking for men in skirts to take on the evildoers. If you question this, ask yourself where Iran has been for the past 4 months. Peace is possible in the Middle East because Israel had the warrior mentality and President Trump had the warrior mentality towards Iran and Hamas.
The days of Democrats relying on diplomacy to take on evil are over. Secretary Hegseth is letting young Americans know that the “Warrior mentality” is now welcome in the military. This will help us meet our recruitment goals.
As Winston Churchill so aptly said: “We sleep safely at night because rough men stand ready to visit violence on those who would harm us.”
A toast to the “Warrior mentality.” To the Democrats I say, Get over it!
