Why is there a chance for peace in the Middle East? Is it because of Obama’s policy of placating Iran? Is it because of Biden’s policy of holding back Israel from destroying Hamas after the raping and murders of civilians by Hamas on October 7th? Is the chance for peace because of AOC and her Democrat colleague’s calls for the annihilation of Israel?
For any IQ challenged Democrat readers, the answer to all of the above questions is NO!
The events occurring daily in the Middle East are monumental. The President of Lebanon is now willing to disarm Hezbollah in exchange for financial aid. This is the first time in history that the Lebanese government has been willing and able to disarm the Hezbollah militants.
The only reason this change has occurred in Lebanon is the destruction rained down on Hezbollah and its leadership by the Israeli Defense Forces.
In Syria, Israel and the new Syrian government are holding talks regarding a peace agreement. This was unimaginable 6 months ago. The only reason this is possible is because Bashar al-Assad, the President of Syria for decades, is now living in Moscow after he fled the country. He was a strong ally of Iran and he was overthrown because Hezbollah had been destroyed by Israel and could not assist him when the rebels attacked his forces.
In Gaza, we finally see Hamas willing to discuss ending the conflict with Israel and agreeing to discuss returning the hostages. The only reason they are negotiating is because Israel destroyed their leadership, their financial assets and finally normal Gazans are demanding that Hamas leave the Gaza strip.
Israel capped off these victories by destroying Iran’s military defenses and revealing to the world that Iran was a paper tiger. Iran had ruled the region for decades and prevented other Arab countries from negotiating peace treaties with Israel. The humiliation of Iran has allowed other Arab leaders to step up and begin negotiating for a region-wide peace agreement.
None of this would have occurred if the diplomats had been in control. The Democrats in the United States and diplomats from countries around the world were determined that Israel should not take military action in the region. They constantly argued that military action would create a hostile reaction that would work against the hopes for peace in the region.
Netanyahu ignored this advice and took decisive action and the result is that for the first time in decades, there is an opportunity for peace in the region.
