For years, U.S. intelligence agencies have been aware of attempts by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) to utilize Chinese nationalist students as spies at American universities. China coordinates massive spy rings using Chinese nationalist students to steal American technology research for the benefit of the CCP.

The Stanford Review is an independent student newspaper at Stanford University. The Review conducted a 9 month investigation into activities of Chinese spying at Stanford University.

One example was a Stanford student who was contacted by a Chinese person who asked the student to visit China at no expense to the student. The Chinese person making the offer seemed to possess sensitive information about the student. After persistent attempts to get the student to visit China, the student became nervous and contacted authorities who determined that the person had many identities and had spent years targeting multiple female students (for our Democrat readers that is a human with ovaries) who were researching China related topics.

Experts have determined that the man was probably an agent of the Chinese Ministry of State Security who was tasked with identifying sympathetic students that could be talked into spying for China.

The Stanford Review concluded that the CCP is orchestrating a widespread intelligence-gathering campaign at Stanford. The Review concluded “there are Chinese spies at Stanford.”

Under the Made In China 2025 plan, the Chinese government plans to unseat American dominance in frontier intelligence. They have focused on gathering the technology from America’s premier universities. In the current arena of technology, Stanford is the dominant American institution.

China uses Chinese students as pawns to gather intelligence. According to the Stanford Review, there are 1129 international Chinese students at Stanford. A portion of these students are actively reporting to the agents of the CCP.

Chinese law mandates that all citizens must cooperate with and support agents of the Chinese intelligence community regardless of where they are located.

One Chinese national student at Stanford told the Review that many Chinese students at Stanford have CCP handlers that want to know everything that is going on at Stanford.

One China expert at Stanford said that the Chinese national students comply with the CCP in one of three ways; some give only the bare minimum of intelligence, some give information in order to maintain their scholarship, and some fully cooperate with the CCP and maximize their intelligence gathering opportunities.

Many of the Chinese national students are threatened by the CCP if they fail to spy for the CCP. Many times their family members back in China are threatened if the student does not assist the Chinese communists.

Many people have been aware of the Chinese spying on American universities for decades. Many remained silent because when the issue was raised, Democrats would accuse the person making the charge with being guilty of racial profiling. This Democrat tactic of hurling accusations of racial profiling allowed the Chinese communists to spy on American campuses with impunity.

The Stanford Review wisely stated: “The nation that develops superior technologies will gain a critical military edge over its adversaries. China cannot be that nation. Working together, U.S. universities and the federal government need to take serious steps to defend the  integrity of our nation’s mission-critical research.”

We can only hope that the “woke” leftist leadership at American universities will allow the U.S. intelligence agencies the access it needs to limit the stealing of critical research by the Chinese communists.
