The Democrats are struggling because they have allowed extremists to become the face of their party. In prior decades, the Democrats presented a big tent that included union members from the rust belt and social leftists from the east and west coasts. This coalition worked, according to Christian Schneider in National Review, because the union members ignored the coastal leftists. The mainstream media would never highlight the radical statements of the leftist Democrats so most voters were not aware of their lunatic ideas.

The rise of social media has upended this arrangement as Republicans have begun exposing to the public the crazy statements of the loony leftist Democrats. When AOC and Bernie Sanders shout out their Marxist doctrines, the Republican social media team makes sure that the American public is exposed to the statements of the leftist Democrats.

When leftist college students shout down speakers for not using proper pronouns, the Republicans make sure the video hits social media.

When Democrats begin making a hero of a cold-blooded killer of an insurance executive, the video is posted on social media for average Americans to view.

When Democrats harass Jewish students on college campuses, the video is posted for all Americans to view. These public demonstrations make it difficult for moderate voters to vote for Democrats.

These same loony leftists have also invoked mob rule to silence the moderate voices in the Democrat Party. Last November, after the election, Rep. Seth Moulton of Massachusetts said that, as a father of a girl, he objected to men playing in women’s sporting events. Rep. Moulton was immediately viciously attacked by the leftist Democrats.

The Democrats have played into the Republican’s hands by putting AOC up as a potential Presidential candidate. The inability of the Democrats to remove the leftists from the forefront of their party has made it easy for Republicans to highlight their radical ideas. This has made the moderate voters uneasy with the Democrat Party.

This bodes well for Republicans in future elections.
