Many Americans have grown tired of the racial politics that became the focus of the Democrat Party. This past election, many Americans cast their vote outside of the narrow definition of their skin color.
Sadly, many American institutions continue to make race an important issue in all their decisions. In 2021, the American Medical Association (AMA) developed a plan to “embed racial justice and advance health equity.”
This plan consisted of the typical DEI mantra that white straight males have been in charge for too long and blacks, hispanics and people of color have suffered. The DEI phrase is; “not equality but equity.”
This blatant racism is a result of what young people are being taught at our country’s universities. Professors are teaching that treating everyone equally allows white guys to dominate over the oppressed minorities.
If the DEI people were in charge of the NFL, they would punish the Chiefs for being successful and would require them to play the other teams with only 9 players. This mantra discounts the fact that many people are able to meet the requirements by hard work and discipline. Lowering the standards in order to allow a more diverse group of people to pass requirements in any industry results in a lower level of performance.
Most Americans do not want to hear that DEI has taken over the medical industry. We don’t want to have a doctor who passed his medical tests because he or she was a minority and the requirements were lowered.
the American Medical Association (AMA) developed a plan to “embed racial justice and advance health equity.”
Many states are now requiring physicians to receive bias training in order to maintain their license to practice medicine. The leaders at the AMA believe that black patients would be healthier with a black physician than with a white physician. Imagine what the reaction would be if a white patient said that they did not want to have a minority doctor. They would be deemed racist but a black demanding a black doctor is acceptable. It does not make sense.
The absurdity of wokeness is that it will eventually lead to people receiving inferior care which can affect their health. Most Americans want to have the best physician regardless of the physician’s skin color, gender or sexual preference.
The irony of the DEI demands is that it often results in a backlash of racism where there was none before. Let’s hope that the DEI experiment will banished to the dust bin of history along with the other failed experiments like communism and marxism.
