In a heartwarming display of gratitude and community spirit, the Manatee County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) has organized the second annual Christmas Eve meal handout for first responders.
Sheriff’s deputies, EMS workers, and 911 dispatchers, who are scheduled to work on this busy night, were greeted with delicious meals, a symbol of appreciation for their relentless service.
This year, the meals were generously provided by Popi’s Place Restaurant and Catering, a local favorite known for its delicious cuisine and community involvement.
The BOCC were joined by County Administrator Charlie Bishop and other County staff members in handing out the hot meals.
The meal handout not only brought smiles to the faces of the first responders but also strengthened the bond between the community and its protectors.
