Quick Bit: Here’s all you need to know to watch Minnesota host Michigan on Saturday, including start time and TV channel.
Full Story:
Michigan’s first venture on the road this season was a resounding success. The Wolverines went into Lincoln and dominated Nebraska from start to finish last weekend, walking away with a 45-7 win. Is another blowout in store against the Gophers?
P.J. Fleck’s team hasn’t had the most inspiring season, collapsing against Northwestern in Week 4 before narrowly escaping Louisiana in Week 5. Very little has come easy for Minnesota this season, and nothing comes easy against this Michigan defense.
The Wolverines have yet to even allow an opponent to hit double-digits this season, allowing seven or fewer points in each of their first five games. Their smallest margin of victory is 24 points.
The biggest storyline entering Saturday for Minnesota might be the status of RB Darius Taylor, who has looked terrific as a true freshman but missed Week 5 with a leg injury.
The Gophers’ offense runs through its ground game, and Taylor was just starting to give the team a taste of Mohamed Ibrahim’s production before he went down. If Minnesota wants to make an impact against the Wolverines’ great defense, it needs the running game to be at its best.
