Full Story:
Two of the AFC’s brightest sides meet in the brisk Buffalo wind for a duel that should go a long way in shaping the race for the AFC East title.
The Bills have long been considered the class of their division. Their roster is filled with talent, namely in the form of Josh Allen, Stefon Diggs, Matt Milano and Micah Hyde. They have found themselves on the cusp of greatness for years, a few rough edges away from etching their name in football immortality.
But their reign at the top is under threat. For there’s a side making waves down in South Beach, one whose offense strikes fear in all it faces. The Dolphins are fresh off the back of a 70-point mauling of the Broncos. With Tua Tagovailoa, Tyreek Hill, Raheem Mostert, Jaylen Waddle and De’Von Achane at the helm, they can score on just about anyone. And in a league where scoring can be at a premium, that puts them in rarefied air.
It’s a classic matchup, the stout rearguard hoping to hold off the upstart attack. And it promises to have folks talking, one way or another. A game fit for primetime television, even if it is in the middle of the day.

Dolphins vs. Bills live updates, highlights from NFL Week 4
(All times Eastern)
2:34 p.m.: FIELD GOAL! Tyler Bass nails his attempt from distance, extending the Bills edge sumptuously.
Bills 31, Dolphins 14
2:32 p.m.: FUMBLE! Matt Milano jars the ball loose from Mostert’s grasp. Buffalo falls on it, notching its first turnover of the game. That takeaway machine just keeps churning away.
2:21 p.m.: TOUCHDOWN! Diggs has his defender on toast. Burnt past his marker with ease, even overcoming a defensive holding flag to do so. Left a trail of defenders in his wake before taking it the distance. One of the best receivers in the game doing what he does best: scoring TDs.
Bills 28, Dolphins 14
2:09 p.m.: A shocking sight has befallen us at Highmark Stadium; the Dolphins are punting the ball!
1:58 p.m.: TOUCHDOWN! Allen conjures up spells in the pocket, finding enough to space to fire a blur into Diggs’ grasp. He’s balling.
Bills 21, Dolphins 14
1:53 p.m.: It feels like Vic Fangio has keyed in on Diggs. He was held fairly quiet in the opening frame, save for one grab. But with the run game operating at a high level, the opportunities should come knocking for him. Case in point: two targets on the first two plays of Buffalo’s latest drive, one of which resulted in a sizable gain, the other coaxing a pass interference call that brings the Bills that much closer to the end zone.
1:49 p.m.: TOUCHDOWN! Achane’s second touch of the day ends much like the first: in the end zone. He can’t be stopped at present.
Dolphins 14, Bills 14
1:48 p.m.: Tagovailoa with a laser to Bryan Berrios to move the chains on third down. This offense is cooking with gas.
1:46 p.m.: What a grab by Raheem Mostert, who leaps over the trees to bring in Tua’s lofted effort. 22-yard gain brings the Fins ever so close to the promised land.
End of first quarter: Bills 14, Dolphins 7
1:42 p.m.: Tua hits Hill in an open meadow, grabbing a 20-yard gain in the process. A good note to end the first quarter on.
1:34 p.m.: TOUCHDOWN! This Bills run game is feeling the groove. Cook slides through the pile, getting a little help from Allen in the process. Impressive display on the ground by Buffalo. Sean McDermott’s team is evolving, it seems.
Bills 14, Dolphins 7
1:32 p.m.: Speak of the devil! Murray carves through the fog of teal-clad bodies coalescing in the trenches. Big gain sets up Buffalo right on the cusp of the goal-line.
1:29 p.m.: Allen is using the short game to his advantage. He’s involving the likes of Dawson Knox and Dalton Kincaid to carve through this Miami defense. Couple that with an improved supporting cast (hello, James Cook and Latavius Murray!) and you have an offense capable of competing with the best of rearguards.
1:20 p.m.: TOUCHDOWN! The Dolphins respond with a flurry, finding pay dirt courtesy of yet another De’Von Achane scamper. Some big plays from the likes of Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle in Drive No. 1. Tagovailoa completed all five of his pass attempts to start. This game is shaping up to be a scorcher.
Bills 7, Dolphins 7
1:15 p.m.: Tua Tagovailoa’s rapid release proves effective. Back-to-back darts to Durham Smythe bring Miami 30 yards down the field.
1:10 p.m.: TOUCHDOWN! Allen. Gabe Davis. Six. Davis frolicked down the right sideline without a marker and snagger Allen’s hurl with ease. Bills launch the first strike.
Bills 7, Dolphins 0
1:08 p.m.: Allen hits his favorite target, Stefon Diggs, who escaped a hold to dive right into Dolphins territory. Unnecessary roughness call at the end puts Buffalo inside the red zone.
1:05 p.m.: Allen getting his tailbacks involved early. James Cook breaks through the mire for a solid gain on the first play from scrimmage. Then, Deonte Harry reels in a pass and plays evades contact to move the chains on second down.
1:04 p.m.: Hamlin back on the field for the kickoff. What a moment. Bills spilling onto the field led by Josh Allen.
12:22 p.m. — While there are numerous storylines today as two of the NFL’s best square off, Damar Hamlin’s return will be front of mind throughout the day.
12:01 p.m. — Bills safety Damar Hamlin is active and expected to play for the first time in a regular season game since suffering cardiac arrest Jan. 2.
