MANATEE COUNTY, FLORIDA – Crime Stoppers of Manatee County is pleased to announce it is again partnering with the Manatee County Fair for this year’s 18th Annual Halloween Safe Kids Night. The event will be held on Halloween, Sunday October 31st, 2021 from 5:30pm – 8:30pm in the Mosaic Arena at the Manatee Fairgrounds in Palmetto. Visitors may park along 17th Street West and enter the event through Gate #3 across from Palmetto High School or enter via Gate #9 on 14th Ave West across from Church on the Rock. Parking will be available in the midway area on the south end of the fairgrounds.
The event is FREE for the public to attend and as always, there will be plenty of fun and candy for the whole family. Event partners hosting booths and distributing candy will be Public Safety Agencies, Civic & Non-Profit Organizations, as well as Churches& Ministries. All Candy will be individually wrapped & sealed and will be distributed by people wearing masks & gloves to ensure safety. There will also be fun and games, as well as public safety equipment & first responder vehicles on display. Please visit www.ManateeCrimeStoppers.com for more details.
This well established event consistently attracts over 3000 children & families (last year had a record 5000+ in attendance). Since this year’s event will again be in the Mosaic Arena at the Manatee Fairgrounds, a well-known venue with plenty of fresh air and space for social distancing, we anticipate another record crowd this year. “We are excited to again be working with the Manatee County Fair and the many community partners joining us this year,“ said Frank Brunner, Executive Director of Manatee Crime Stoppers. “Many non-profit & government agencies, as well as churches will be participating by having Trick or Treat booths in the Mosaic Arena.”
The event not only provides children and families with a safe alternative for “Trick or Treating”, but also information for parents about community organizations and agencies which serve Manatee County families. Rather than going door to door in unsafe neighborhoods which lack sidewalks and streetlights, families can visit the Manatee Fairgrounds and enjoy an enhanced Halloween experience. Crime Stoppers is providing a venue with plenty of security, supervision, games, activities, and candy while also promoting public safety & community services which are available to families. Be sure to have the little ones (11 and under) dress up and participate in the Best Costume Contest!”
