“Jayne Kocher is more than a popular longtime area realtor. She has extensive experience with the Bradenton Downtown Development Authority, which was an advisory board affiliated with the city’s Community Redevelopment Agency. While she was on the board, Mrs. Kocher helped to guide the revitalization of Old Main Street and contributed her thoughts as the Riverwalk was taking shape. And while there were multiple projects going on at once in the downtown area, she carefully looked out for the interests of local business owners.” – cityofbradenton.com

The City of Bradenton publishes a regular newsletter that includes a section where one of the members on the City of Bradenton Council shares some information.  Below is a copy of Councilwoman Jane Kocher’s “Council Corner”.

I had an opportunity to attend the Manatee Chamber’s Leadership Retreat and am happy to report that they are forecasting moderate-to-strong growth for our local economy in the next year. This strong outlook is in spite of still recovering from the effects of COVID, which has challenged the way businesses interact with customers, and caused workforce and supply chain issues.

Also, I want to give a big thank you to our Public Works & Utilities staff for their extra efforts to overcome the challenges we have been experiencing with the solid waste pickup. Your “all hands on deck” approach and extra staff working through the weekends are greatly appreciated!

And I know we all are feeling that ever-so-little taste of fall in the air, and we are ready to enjoy all the fall events heading our way … don’t miss the Downtown Bradenton Public Market (formerly the Bradenton Farmers’ Market) every Saturday on Old Main from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. through May. The ever-popular monthly ArtWalk in the Village of the Arts (on the first Friday ofevery month) is something else you might consider enjoying.

Happy Fall Ya’ll!
