Heroism in America comes in many forms

Tales from the Mark side:
The conservative voice of Manatee County

Oh, it’s been yet another surreal week under the Biden administration. It’s like living in a combination episode of the Twilight Zone and The Family Guy. Biden is a perfect mixture of Peter and Quagmire. He can’t do anything right and you can almost hear him say, “Giggity,” when he starts sniffing at a woman’s hair. Kamala Harris, of course, would have to be Meg because nobody likes her, but she’s also got a lot of “Where’s Waldo,” in her.

But before we go further, I have to take a moment to talk about American gymnasts McKayala Maroney, Simone Biles and Maggie Nichols who testified in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee this past week. I knew the story of pedophile Dr. Nassar’s long abuse of elite female gymnasts, but I had no clue to the extent of how they were failed and betrayed by so many. The USGA, and the Olympic committee and yet another batch of rogue, self-serving FBI agents who abused these young girls in a different way left me pacing around the house in anger as the story began to unfold.

But at the same time, I beamed with pride at the courage and determined pursuit of justice these young ladies displayed.

I was in awe.

I’m not one to throw around the word “heroes” like a lot of people, but each one of these young ladies are indeed heroes. USGA, the Olympic committee and those FBI agents who deliberately worked to distort and hide the truth to fatten their wallets is a perversion of justice that surpasses the coup attempt on President Trump. As serious as that was, anyone deliberately victimizing sexual abuse survivors all over again, as these people did, deserves a special place in hell. God bless them and may justice prevail, or at the very least, may Karma visit them on a grand scale.

On the opposite end of the heroism spectrum is Gen. Mark Milley. An important thing to understand about some of these generals who strive to reach the level Milley has, is that they stopped being soldiers a long time ago and opted to play politics instead. As you know by now, Milley not only played a key role in the Afghanistan debacle, but committed treason during the Trump administration by colluding with China. It would be funny if it wasn’t so sad and infuriating that the left always seems to do the things for which they accuse the right of doing. And they always get a free pass.

Unlike the fake Russian collusion, Milley actually did collude with China and tried to brag about it. Warning our enemies, whether Milley was under some delusion that Trump would nuke China in his final days or not, is still treason. And I don’t care that the White House is saying, “Oh it was a perfectly normal call,” and yet unlike Trump is refusing to release the transcripts.

This White House lies so much that if Biden were Pincochio, his nose would circle the globe ten times over and it hasn’t even been a year. My God, we still have three more to get through. As Halloween approaches and you want to tell a scary story around the campfire, just say, “Biden still has over three years as president.” That will send the kiddies off to bed with nightmares for sure.

I think Jill Biden should read him, “The boy who cried wolf,” before he gets his warm milk and gets put to bed at 6 p.m. Biden, of course, said he has every confidence in Milley and it’s just another example of his administration spiraling out of control.

None of this is normal.

Biden still has the blood of 13 brave Americans on his hands. All he could do to take responsibility for that is check his watch as each flag-draped coffin was removed from the plane. It was a disgusting display. Milley’s “righteous strike” in the days after was an overzealous attempt to appease American anger about the Afghanistan debacle and subsequent surrender. It resulted in 10 civilians dead, including seven children. Their “over the horizon capability” message they pushed so hard is nothing but a work in insanity without intelligence on the ground.

I’ll be honest, Trump, as we all know, didn’t always say the right thing, but he has almost always turned out to be right. I cringed on the day Trump said he knew more than his generals. After Milley’s betrayal, Trump is probably right about that, too.

I have to say that a lot of my liberal friends have been awfully quiet for the last several weeks. Perhaps it’s a case of buyer’s remorse but this is the kind of thing that happens when you vote personality over policy. And yet, some 40 percent of Americans still think Biden is doing a good job. I don’t believe that 40 percent of this country are far left-wing fanatics who want to destroy America, but I do believe there are far too many of them. No, it’s more of a case of pure ignorance.

Have you ever watched these man-on-the-street interviews conservative groups do? Liberals start ranting and raving but don’t even know why. It’s staggering to me just how ignorant so many people are.

That, dear reader, is who the Democrats rely upon to achieve and maintain power. You don’t have to believe me, they said it themselves in the leaked DNC emails. Like other great empires throughout history who were never militarily conquered, America is in danger from destroying itself from within. Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it. We must not, and cannot let that happen to America.
