The Company is working with world renowned specialists and fungal disease experts, most notably, Dr. Mahmoud Ghannoum, Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Mahmoud Ghannoum’s lab worked directly with the CDC, obtaining the most resistant strains of Candida auris to be tested at the CDC’s request. These results demonstrated the efficacy against resistant C. auris. Once the C. auris fungus accesses the patients’ blood stream (via catheters, IV lines, ports, airways) there is a 55 % chance these patients will die within 30-90 days.
