Full Story:

The second round of the LIV Golf Bedminster event — the third tournament of the inaugural LIV Series season — is underway in New Jersey.

Friday’s opening round ended with a tie atop the leaderboard. PGA Tour defectors Patrick Reed and Henrik Stenson paced the field at 7 under par through the first 18 holes. Behind them were Phachara Khongwatmai (-5) in sole possession of third place; Dustin Johnson and Carlos Ortiz next at -4; and a group of golfers tied at 3 under.

In the team competition, Johnson’s 4 Aces leads with a score of 11 under after combining the team’s top two scorers (Reed at 7 under par and Johnson at 4 under). Pat Perez (-1) and Talor Gooch (+2) are also on the team.

Lee Westwood’s Majesticks GC is in close pursuit of 4 Aces with a team score of 10 under thanks to Stenson’s and Ian Poulter’s scores of 7 under and 3 under, respectively. Also on the team are Lee Westwood (-2); and Sam Horsfield (-1).
