Quick Bit: Sporting News has you covered on all the different ways to watch one of track and field’s premier events take place, from qualifying heats all the way to the medal rounds.

Full Story:

This year’s World Track and Field Championship has been a long time coming.

The competition usually runs on a two-year cycle. However, after the coronavirus pandemic pushed the Tokyo Olympics back a year, World Athletics opted to postpone the competition, which was scheduled for 2021, until this year.

The world’s best athletes descend at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon, from July 15-24 — the first time the United States has hosted the event. There are a host of medals on the line.

With a number of Olympic gold medalists set to compete in the proceedings — including U.S. stars like Allyson Felix, Sydney McLaughlin and Ryan Crouser, Canadian decathlete Damian Warner, and legendary Jamaican sprinters Elaine Thompson-Herah and Shelly-Ann Fraser-Price — the competition certainly won’t be lacking in star power.
