However, he suffered a setback when he was forced to withdraw from the ATP Mallorca 250 with an abdominal injury less than a week before the start of Wimbledon.
Kyrgios has been advised to not play any more matches ahead of Wimbledon – which commences on June 27.
The 27-year-old has played at the All England Club every year – except for the cancelled 2020 edition – since his debut in 2014.
Kyrgios’ big serve and powerful shots make him a difficult opponent on grass, and he will be aiming to make a deep tournament run.
Following his victory against Daniel Altmaier at the Halle Open in June, the Australian tennis star expressed his confidence when playing on the Wimbledon surface.
“On grass, you know, I would be top five, top 10 in the world, definitely,” Kyrgios told Tennis TV.
“If I’m feeling good on grass, I feel really, really comfortable on it.”

He then dispatched Gianluca Mager in straights in the second round.
Unfortunately for Kyrgios, he suffered a walkover defeat to F?lix Auger-Aliassime in the following round.
Kyrgios and the young Canadian had each won a set before the Australian was forced to retire with an abdominal injury.
How has Nick Kyrgios performed in 2022 so far?
After a lack of matches in 2021, Kyrgios began the year ranked as low as No. 137 in the world but has risen back into the top 100 after some solid results.
Kyrgios made it to the second round of the Australian Open and took a set off eventual runner-up Daniil Medvedev.
The Aussie then headed to America where he made the quarter-finals of Indian Wells and the round of 16 at the Miami Open.
Kyrgios then played his one and only clay tournament of the year in Houston, making the semi-finals before losing in straight sets to Reilly Opelka.
He opted to skip the remainder of the clay season – including the French Open – but returned to the tour in June to begin his grass court preparations.
A semi-final berth at the Stuttgart Open and Halle Open should put him in good stead for Wimbledon.
