Manatee School COVID Testing Update

Starting, Friday, September 10th, a new testing site located at John H. Marble Park began offering the PCR rapid test. The PCR rapid tests are free and results are generally available within one hour or less.  This PCR rapid test is approved for asymptomatic students needing to test to return to school from a quarantine.     The Marble Park site is located at 3675 53rd Avenue East in Bradenton, and is only open for School District employees, students and Manatee County Government Employees. School or district ID must be shown to be tested. The site is open daily Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. In addition, the School District is working with MCR Health to set up two additional testing sites starting this coming Monday, September 13th: The sites are: • Manatee Elementary School MCR Health Center at 1609 6th Ave E., in Bradenton, and;• Southeast High School MCR Health Center, at 1200 37th Avenue E., in Bradenton These sites are open for district employees and children attending a Manatee District schools. School or district ID must be shown to be tested at the MCR Health sites, which run Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  No appointment is needed.  These testing sites will use approved COVID-19 Rapid tests that provide results within 15 minutes. In addition, these sites will also provide PCR tests, which take two to three days for a result. The MCR Health testing is free and will require a consent form completed prior to testing.
