The establishment wants you to believe that uneducated rednecks and conspiracy theorists are the only people hesitant to get the vaccine.

To them, people without a college education are the stupid derelicts holding the country back.

If only those people would get the vaccine, the liberal elitists tell themselves, then everything would be all right.

Well, according to a recently released survey, the most educated Americans — those with doctorates — are the most likely to show hesitancy to get a vaccine.

This group is even more hesitant than Americans with only a high school-level education.

‘WJ Live’: Biden’s Latest Episode Shows Just How Lost He Truly Is

For the study, researchers from the University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon University surveyed 5,121,436 US adults online from Jan. 6 to May 31 with confidence intervals of 95 percent for all parameters.

The purpose of the study was to find the groups that exhibit the most hesitancy toward getting vaccinated. Finding that citizens with Ph.D.s are one of the most hesitant groups likely came as a shock.

Can COVID-19 vaccines be trusted?

Of those with a high school education or less, 20.8 exhibited some hesitancy, and among those with a Ph.D., 23.9 percent displayed hesitancy.

The association between level of education and vaccine hesitancy, according to the study, follows a U-shaped curve, with the most hesitant being those with a high school education or less and those with a doctorate.

Although it has yet to be peer-reviewed, the study’s authors note that “no other study has evaluated education with this level of granularity.”

Likely due to their suspicion of the numbers, the study’s authors go on to write that “further investigation into hesitancy among those with a PhD is warranted.”

The study’s findings identified a list of additional groups more likely to be hesitant as well.

“In May, independent hesitancy risk factors included younger age, non-Asian race, having a PhD or ≤high school education, living in a rural county, living in a county with higher 2020 Trump support, lack of worry about COVID-19, working outside the home, never intentionally avoiding contact with others, and no past-year flu vaccine,” the study’s authors conclude.

The reasons respondents gave for their tentativeness were “fear of side effects and not trusting the vaccine,” “not trusting the government,” “not needing the vaccine” and “waiting to see if safe.”

So, do members of the establishment left believe that Ph.D. recipients are idiots peddling vaccine conspiracy theories?

Apparently, they do.

So much for the left being a bastion of science and tolerance.

School Board Issues Ban on LGBT Pride and Black Lives Matter Flags

A school board in Oregon this week voted to ban LGBT pride and Black Lives Matter flags and other items from all district school buildings after deeming them “political.”

The Newberg Public Schools board, by a vote of four to three, made the decision Tuesday as part of an effort to rid schools of clothing and other items which are overtly divisive.

Oregon Public Broadcasting reported the decision was made following a four-hour virtual meeting on Tuesday. School board vice chair Brian Shannon commented on “divisive” imagery during the meeting.

“The main goal of this is to get political symbols, and divisive symbols out of our schools so we can focus on the already difficult task of educating our students in the core subjects,” Shannon said.

OPB reported that during the meeting, school board member Ines Peña was wearing a Black Lives Matter shirt accompanied by a rainbow-colored headband.

Peña lashed out after the majority ruled against her choice of fashion.

“The quality of some of the stories that we heard should count more than just the number of emails that we received,” Peña said. “And I feel like that’s not being heard, the students are not being heard.”

Peña said she wanted more input from students.

One left-wing district teacher criticized the board’s decision to nix LGBT and BLM garb.

Do you agree with the school board’s decision?

“[BLM and LGBT images] are messages of love and support,” teacher Stacey Dalton said. “White and or heteronormative students, the majority, see their own validation consistently in the curriculum Newberg School districts have adopted and therefore do not need extra messages of support.”

Other leftists lashed out at the school board’s decision on Twitter:

Prior to the vote to ban BLM and LGBT imagery from schools, the Oregon School Board Members of Color Caucus executive team sent a letter to the four board members who were expected to vote to keep divisive left-wing politics out of classrooms.

The letter was posted on Facebook.

“The actions you are considering are sending a message of division and marginalization of students and educators who are part of your community,” the letter partially stated.

“Please consider learning about what the Black Lives Matter movement calls for. What message do you send by banning symbols that call for Black lives to matter and be valued no more, and no less, than other lives?”

The city of Newberg is located southwest of Portland, Oregon, in conservative-leaning Yamhill County.

Justice Amy Barrett Stuns Conservatives, Denies Request to Block Indiana University’s Vaccine Mandate

Justice Amy Coney Barrett showed once again that appointing her to the U.S. Supreme Court was one of the biggest mistakes former President Donald Trump made during his time in the White House.

In her latest betrayal of conservatives, Barrett on Thursday summarily declined to grant an emergency injunction to eight college students who sued to block Indiana University’s vaccine mandate.

The mandate requires the school’s 90,000 students and 40,000 employees to get vaccinated against the coronavirus.

Barrett has jurisdiction over the 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, where the lawsuit originated.

In their Aug. 6 filing, the eight students said Indiana University’s vaccination policy violates their “constitutional rights to bodily integrity and autonomy.”

Trending:

Six of the students had gotten a religious exemption, but self-proclaimed “devout Catholic” Barrett apparently didn’t care about their religious beliefs. She did not consult her fellow justices or explain why she refused to hear the case.

As it stands now, the students will be forced to get vaccinated if they want to return to campus this fall pursuant to Indiana University’s vaccine mandate.

From a big-picture perspective, Barrett’s refusal to intervene suggests the Supreme Court does not want to get pulled into culture wars over the coronavirus vaccine.

In their filing urging Barrett to block Indiana University’s vaccine mandate, the students said their refusal to get vaccinated was based on legitimate concerns, “including underlying medical conditions, having natural antibodies, and the risks associated with the vaccine.”

Should colleges be allowed to impose vaccine mandates?

The students argued that they’re adults who are entitled to make their own medical treatment decisions and they have a constitutional right to bodily autonomy.

“IU, however, is treating its students as children who cannot be trusted to make mature decisions and has substituted itself for both the student and her attending physician, mandating a choice which is the student’s to make,” they said in their court filing.

The plaintiffs also said it makes no scientific sense to force college students to submit to an experimental vaccine when “the risk of serious morbidity and mortality from COVID for those under 30 is close to zero.”

The students pointed to research suggesting that the vaccine is especially risky for young people.

“There are emerging trends showing that the vaccine is especially risky for those 18-29, including myocarditis, Bell’s Palsy, Pulmonary Embolus, Pulmonary Immunopathology, and severe allergic reaction causing anaphylactic shock,” they wrote.

Supreme Court Posts an Update That’s Guaranteed to Infuriate Leftists

The students urged Barrett to hear their case because it would give the Supreme Court the opportunity to provide much-needed guidance to the lower courts regarding the flood of vaccine mandate cases that will no doubt flood the court system.

But just as she did when it came to hearing Trump’s election lawsuit, Barrett punted.

This cowering makes you wonder why the mom of seven aggressively sought a seat on the highest court in the land if she doesn’t want to weigh in on critical issues that require judicial interpretation.

If you can’t stand the heat, get out of the kitchen. Or in this case, get off the bench.

Barrett’s craven decision was slammed by numerous conservatives on social media.

“Another unfortunate Trump establishment choice that conservatives rallied behind without looking at her record,” one Twitter user remarked.

Another person lamented: “Yet another ‘conservative judge’ who isn’t conservative at all.”

A self-professed Georgia Republican tweeted: “So Justice Barrett denies the RIGHTS of students who don’t want to get covid vaccine at Indiana University ALL BY HERSELF rather than consulting w/other colleagues on the court & without hearing from the school.”

Another Twitter user said that “ACB has been nothing but a disappointment so far.”

He explained, “One of my friends (who has a heart condition and is advised by his doctor not to take the vaccine) has been directly affected by this decision. He now must withdraw from IU and transfer elsewhere.”

The Democrats and their corporate media partners are rabidly ratcheting up the coronavirus fearmongering as we inch closer to the 2022 midterms and the 2024 general election.

This undoubtedly will be weaponized to make the case for more mass mail-in voting — a process vulnerable to potential fraud.

This is a threat to election integrity, and having spineless “conservatives” in both Congress and the Supreme Court means no one is watching out for freedom-loving Americans.

Watch: Biden Calls Tyrants Forcing Mask Mandates on Children ‘Heroes,’ Thanks Them

President Joe Biden on Thursday thanked all the tyrannical officials across the country who are forcing children to wear masks during the upcoming school year.

School already has begun in some areas of the country, while it’ll soon be in full swing for millions of other American children.

In some areas, such as Florida, Oklahoma and Texas, schools are forbidden from mandating face coverings for children. These areas have rational leadership that is recognizing the science on masks and putting children above politics and virtue signaling.

These are also the places Biden subtly attacked when he commended the “heroes” who are now flouting science to muzzle kids in classrooms.

“Before I begin, let me say a few words about the pandemic — the pandemic of the unvaccinated,” he said, taking a swipe at Americans who have decided not to get the COVID vaccine. “I know there are lot of people out there trying to turn a public safety measure — that is, children wearing masks in school so they can be safe — into a political dispute.

Trending:

‘His Dad Was a Nazi’: After Schwarzenegger Says ‘Screw Your Freedom,’ Conservatives Remind Him About Past

“And this isn’t about politics. This is about keeping our children safe.”

Anyone who keeps up with “science” not filtered by the White House knows Biden and his lapdog media are always lying. Of course it’s political. Much of this pandemic is.

But Biden wasn’t content with using his remarks to simply chastise people over private medical decisions.

“I saw a video and reports from Tennessee of protestors threatening doctors and nurses who were before a school board making the case that, to keep kids safe, there should be mandatory masks,” the president said. “And as they walked out, these doctors were threatened, these nurses were threatened.”

Here is video of that incident, in case you had missed it:

He embellished what happened, but it’s safe to say a lot of people are tired of the political theater — and that is especially true when it comes to protecting children.

Also, suddenly Biden now cares about large groups of people who are angry? Where was he last summer when they were burning down buildings and killing cops? Yeah — he was praising the mobs.

In any event, the president continued his Thursday ranting in favor of politicizing children by also politicizing vaccines.

“You know, our health care workers are heroes,” Biden said. “They were the heroes when there was no vaccine. Many of them gave their lives trying to save others. And they’re heroes again with a vaccine. They’re doing their best to care for the people refusing to get vaccinated — and unvaccinated folks who are being hospitalized and dying as a result of not being vaccinated.”

He then took a shot, presumably at people such as Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, to end the screed.

“To the mayors, school superintendents, educators, local leaders who are standing up to the governors politicizing mask protection for our kids — thank you, thank you as well,” he said. “Thank God that we have heroes like you, and I stand with you all, and America should as well.”

Biden is the one who wants to politicize children. He is the man currently leading an effort to force insane and questionable mitigation measures, such as mask-wearing, on our country’s future.

Do masks work?

Well, Dr. Anthony Fauci himself didn’t think much of them in the early days of the coronavirus outbreak.

Do you support mask mandates for children?

In a February 2020 email published in June, the White House’s chief medical adviser said, “The typical mask you buy in the drug store is not really effective in keeping out virus, which is small enough to pass through the material.”

More recently, the president’s former COVID adviser, epidemiologist Michael Osterholm, criticized common masks in an appearance on CNN.

“We know today that many of the face cloth coverings that people wear are not very effective in reducing any of the virus movement in or out,” Osterholm said earlier this month. “We need to talk about better masking. We need to talk about N-95 respirators, which would do a lot for both people who are not yet vaccinated or not previously infected.”

N95 masks aren’t very well suited for small children, so that idea seems to be out the window.

Thankfully, children infected with COVID almost always survive — 99.995 percent of them, according to one recent study.

During the 2019-2020 flu season, 199 pediatric flu deaths were recorded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Meanwhile, since the pandemic began early in 2020, 423 pediatric deaths “involving coronavirus” throughout the country were reported, according to the CDC.

Any child’s death is tragic. But we don’t force all kids to walk around wearing lifejackets because an average of 3,960 children die annually from drowning, per the CDC. We certainly don’t ban water.

People attempting to use children as political pawns aren’t “heroes.”

They should be ashamed of themselves — Biden chiefly among them.

How is Lean Manufacturing Beneficial for Manufacturers and The Environment?

How can you reduce costs and minimize wastage in your manufacturing processes? Go lean! Lean manufacturing has emerged as a method of production today that aims to increase productivity and minimize wastage. It is structured keeping value to customers in mind. The value stream is mapped and processes are evaluated to include only value added operations in the production process.

Lean manufacturing enables a pull method of production that is guided by actual demand generated by consumers. The method was used in the Toyota Production System and has since, become a cornerstone for striving for perfection in the manufacturing process.

photo credit: ThisisEngineering RAEng / Unsplash

Several benefits make lean manufacturing so popular today. These are highlighted below.

Reduced Wastage

The main objective of lean manufacturing is to reduce the waste involved in manufacturing processes. So it is only natural that this is an obvious benefit of lean manufacturing.

The waste can be in relation to:

Excessive time required for transport
A lot of waiting time involved
 Overproduction based on forecasts
Over processing of products
Excessive motion involved in the production process
Excessive inventory and work in progress
Defects in product quality

Lean manufacturing makes use of principles that help to improve the efficiency of operations so that the above wastage can be reduced as much as possible.

Better Product Quality

Lean manufacturing makes it possible to manufacture products of a higher quality. The focus on improving efficiency helps to establish a flow to operations so that productivity may be increased. Because value in defined in terms of what customers need, it is possible to make changes to products that satisfy customer demands.

Over processing can be eliminated so that customers get just what they’re looking for. This results in products of a higher quality.

Quicker Lead Time

In lean manufacturing, mapping of the value stream is done to identify the processes that add value. The non-value added and wasteful processes are eliminated or reduced significantly. These processes are then streamlined to create a flow that enhances operational efficiency from start to finish. This ensures that there is no interruption in functional processes that could cause delay in delivery time. Smooth flow helps to eliminate the wastage involved in waiting and improve lead time.

Improved Customer Satisfaction

The customer may be king for businesses in general but this becomes even more important when it comes to lean manufacturing. It is an entirely pull driven method of manufacturing which is based on customer demand. Value is identified based on the needs of the customer and products are created to meet these needs. Changes are made to products to serve the customer needs best. Reduced wastage and smoother flow of operations also speeds up the lead time. This allows for customers to get their products “just in time”, increasing customer satisfaction.

By tapping into customer needs, a stronger relationship can be created and a loyal customer base can develop over time.

photo credit: ThisisEngineering RAEng / Unsplash

Lower Costs

It should come as no surprise that lean manufacturing helps to reduce the cost of operations. With the objective of improving efficiency and reducing wastage, lean manufacturing helps to identify essential and non-essential processes. It also establishes a flow so that production may be streamlined and downtime is minimized.

Manufacturing in response to customer demand eliminates the problem of inventory or work in progress. Lean manufacturing also helps to save space by creating a lean infrastructure. These changes reduce costs for the business. The lower costs coupled with higher sales boost profit margins.

Higher Worker Morale

When you adopt lean manufacturing, you create an organization culture that is committed to innovation. Striving for perfection is a key principle of lean manufacturing. This can encourage workers to come up with new ideas and suggest changes that could be implemented to improve the efficiency of business operations.

Initial resistance is normal as most people tend to want to stay in their comfort zone. Soon however, workers will be able to adopt the change and can contribute, enjoying higher morale.

To Conclude…

All these benefits eventually translate into higher business growth. You will be able to minimize wastage and keep costs low, while also providing customers with products that meet their needs. This will help to boost business sales and promote business growth.

Ultimately, all of the above will help you gain a competitive advantage in the long run.

Massachusetts Measure Would Ban All Semi-Auto Firearms

Photo credit: Flickr courtesy Kyle Klein Photography

Massachusetts citizens who believe their state has ridiculously restrictive gun laws haven’t yet seen just how bad it can really get.

A new measure before the state legislature–H. 4038–would ban not only Massachusetts residents’ favorite old Browning semi-automatic .22-caliber small-game rifles, but also the semi-automatic shotguns they own for hunting, clay shooting, or self-defense.

Authored by state Rep. David Linsky (D), the legislation would rewrite Massachusetts’ already-strict ban on so-called “assault weapons.” In a nutshell, the bill strikes all references to “assault weapons” in the current law and inserts in that place “any rifle or shotgun containing a semi-automatic mechanism.”

For example, section 1 of the measure reads: “Subsection (b) of section 61 of chapter 90 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2018 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out the words ‘assault weapon,’ in line 13, and inserting in place thereof the following words: ‘any rifle or shotgun containing a semi-automatic mechanism.'”

Through the introduced legislation, which has been assigned to the Public Safety and Homeland Security committee, such language would be replaced in 17 different sections of the current law.

Additionally, H. 4038 would completely change and expand the state’s definition of “large-capacity weapons.” It adds the following language: “‘Large capacity weapon,’ any firearm, rifle or shotgun: (i) that is semi-automatic with a fixed large capacity feeding device; (ii) that is semi-automatic and capable of accepting, or readily modifiable to accept, any detachable large capacity feeding device; (iii) that employs a rotating cylinder capable of accepting more than ten rounds of ammunition in a rifle or firearm and more than five shotgun shells in the case of a shotgun or firearm; or (iv) any rifle or shotgun containing a semi-automatic mechanism.” (Emphasis added.)

Of course, subsection IV does away with any pretense of trying to ban so-called “high-capacity magazines,” since the proposed ban on “large-capacity weapons” would include even semi-automatic shotguns holding more than five shells.

The proposal is yet another excellent example of the incremental nature of gun control. While the state’s “assault weapon” ban was supposed to be just the ticket for solving violent crime in Massachusetts, gun-ban advocates like the bill’s author, Rep. Linsky, are always planning ahead for a new ban on the next category of firearms.

Incidentally, Linsky is no stranger to pushing anti-gun legislation in the Bay State. He has been fighting against the right to keep and bear arms in the legislature for more than two decades, and recently introduced another bill–H. 2487–that would require gun owners to purchase liability insurance in order to continue owning firearms.

That legislation states: “Whoever possess, carries, or owns a firearm, rifle or shotgun without a liability policy or bond or deposit required by the provisions of this chapter which has not been provided and maintained in accordance therewith shall be punished by a fine of not less than five hundred nor more than five thousand dollars or by imprisonment for not more than one year in a house of correction, or both such fine and imprisonment.”
