USC Olympian Anna Cockrell gets boost from Tampa Bay Bucs, Ross Cockrell

The USC Trojans are represented on the Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers by Ronald Jones. On Monday, however, the Bucs found another way to connect to USC, and it went viral on social media.

The Tokyo Olympics are drawing near their conclusion. Stories have circulated of athletes and their families’ reactions as they won a gold medal. Even for athletes who didn’t win a gold medal — or haven’t yet won gold — the support they are receiving from people in their communities is inspiring.

Detroit Lions quarterback David Blough was filmed with his teammates watching his wife, hurdler Melissa Gonzalez, compete in Tokyo. Now another video has surfaced. This one is of Anna Cockrell, the sister of current Tampa Bay Buccaneers cornerback and Super Bowl champion Ross Cockrell.

Anna qualified for the women’s 400-meter hurdles final. Ross Cockrell and his Buccaneers teammates-who know a thing or two about winning- watched the event and their reactions are priceless.

Just watch for yourselves, and good luck holding back the tears.

Earlier today, Anna Cockrell qualified for the women’s 400m hurdles final.

Her brother, Bucs CB Ross Cockrell, and his teammates were fired up watching her do so ?

What an amazing scene here as the Buccaneers team gathered and offered support for the Cockrell family. To make things better, Ross Cockrell had a nice day at Bucs training camp.

Ross Cockrell just had his third INT today! Wow. On the same morning he watched his sister @AnnaCockrell48 reach the 400-meter hurdle Olympic final!

Ross appeared in 11 games for the Bucs, but just one in the postseason. Still, he is out to prove that he deserves a spot in the talented Bucs secondary.

What a terrific day for the Cockrell family. Anna qualified for the women’s hurdles final, and Ross caught some attention at Bucs camp. Things are looking pretty good.

Perhaps another video will come out with the Bucs-and Ross-watching Anna Cockrell compete in the finals and win a medal at the Tokyo Olympics. What a sight that would be.
